Who Owns Africa’s Resources? The Youth’s Role in Ending Exploitation.
Africa’s resources were never exchanged for trinkets. That’s a lie you told to justify centuries of plunder. You didn’t trade with us you looted, pillaged, and took by force in the 1400s. And today, you’re still at it. When will you leave the African people alone? When will you stop haunting the people of Congo? How much more suffering, greed, and bloodshed will satisfy you? Who even owns Congo’s resources today? Who owns Africa’s?
These are the conversations we, the youth of Africa, must have. Not just endless TikTok dances, Instagram selfies, and YouTube vlogs. Where are our influential voices? Where are the youth celebrities who could be using their platforms to expose the truth instead of signing deals with the very exploiters destroying our continent?
Young Africans you have the power to end this exploitation. Start with your social media. Flood your feeds with the truth about Congo, South Sudan, and every other African nation under siege. Post. Share. Educate. Mobilize. Youths in Congolese cities why are you silent? Goma is only a few hours away. Speak up! Organize! Protest! Write to your local leaders, your ministers, your presidents. Demand action!
This is not ancient history. The exploitation of Africa is happening NOW. Stop acting as if it’s a thing of the past. Wake up. Care about where your taxes go. Question authority. Research the wealth beneath your feet. Protect it at all costs. Do not be another passive generation that future Africans will look back on and ask, “Why didn’t they fight back?” Because history will judge us all. And this time, we decide how the story ends.
